Strabane Warehouse Blaze Deliberate
A fire in County Tyrone which led to the evacuation of properties is being treated as arson.
Homes and a neighbouring supermarket had to be evacuated last night during a malicious blaze in Strabane.
The building, on Lower Main Street, was completely destroyed.
It is believed that the derelict warehouse, belonging to O'Kane's Poultry, was broken into and papers set alight on Monday night.
The Fire and Rescue Service said people were moved away because of suspected asbestos in their roofs.
Meanwhile, five warehouse units have been destroyed in a second fire, this time in Portadown.
The blaze off Ashgrove Road in the County Armagh town began shortly after 10pm on Monday.
A number of residents were evacuated as a precaution there too, but this time because of heavy smoke. The cause of that fire is still under investigation.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Two fires at a derelict factory in Co Tyrone are being treat as arson. The first blaze started at Herdman's Mill in Sion Mills on Friday, 10 June, which caused substantial damage. The second fire was started on Saturday, 11 June, at around 8.30pm, and caused further damage. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Fire Guts Warehouse
Parts of south Belfast came to a standstill last night as a large fire almost destroyed a warehouse in the university area. Fire crews battled the blaze (pictures here by Adam McCalden) which badly damaged the building in Essex Street, just off University Street.

Fire crews deal with separate fires in Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information following two suspicious fires in Co Antrim in the early hours of Friday morning. The first fire was discovered at a factory unit in north Belfast at around 12 midnight. It is believed the blaze started when paper inside the unit was set alight. Some windows and two other units were damaged in the fire.

Belfast Laundry Gutted By Fire
A fire has almost completely destroyed an industrial laundry in south Belfast on Monday night. A blaze at Standard Laundry on Donegall Avenue was put out at around 9.30pm on Monday night, however, the fire and rescue service was called back shortly before 1.00am on Tuesday morning following reports that the laundry was on fire again.
