Stena Line rewarded at Transport and Logistic Awards
Stena Line Freight has been declared the Irish Sea Shipping Line of the Year at the Export & Freight Transport and Logistic Awards 2002.
The company was selected from the list of finalists on the strength of its entry, which detailed its scheduling capacity, Information Technology capabilities and a strong customer focus.
Regional Manager Frank Nieuwenhuys, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, said: “At Stena Line Freight we work hard to ensure that we can provide the best possible service for our customers. It’s a great honour to be recognized like this – it shows that we’re achieving our goals and that our customers are as pleased with what we’ve achieved as we are.”
The awards, which ran for the first time this year, celebrate the best of the Irish Transport and Logistics industry and the ceremony, which took place in Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, was attended by more than 300 key decision makers within the industry.

NI freight carrier has record year
Independent freight carriers Campbell Freight Services have been recognised by IATA (International Air Transport Association) as a leading Northern Irish Air Freight Carrier and one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK and Ireland. The Belfast based company had a record turnover of £17.5 million last year, an increase of 14% on 2004.

Stena Line post “remarkable” first quarter figures
Leading Northern Ireland ferry company, Stena Line has revealed significant increases in both car and passenger levels on its Belfast-Stranraer route during the first quarter of 2002. The company's latest figures show that car volumes have increased by 18 per cent and passenger volumes by nine per cent compared to the first 14 weeks of last year.
