Marks & Spencer open revamped Foyleside store
Marks & Spencer unveiled a new shopping experience for Northern Ireland customers when the Foyleside branch yesterday opened its doors following completion of a ‘renewal programme’.
An investment over £750,000 has created a state-of-the-art Marks & Spencer store for shoppers in Derry.
Attributing their success to two local players – its customers and its suppliers - Marks & Spencer say that both have had a "remarkable influence on business development", a trend that the company hopes will continue.
Extensive research conducted by Marks & Spencer asked customers about how and why they shop in the Foyleside store, and what in particular they would like to see in their local store.
In response to these findings customers will be able to benefit from a tailor-made offering of new initiatives, services and product ranges.
These include:
In addition, the store features new products, services and customer care to create what M&S describe as an "exciting shopping experience in a contemporary environment".
Roslyn Knowles, Marks & Spencer Foyleside Store Manager, said: "Customer expectations are ever higher, and our desire to meet them is unlimited. Our local shoppers have been the driving forces for this transformation in the Foyleside store – customers will not only see a difference, they’ll feel the difference too.
“The new look store represents our vision for a new look and feel for Marks & Spencer and it’s an opportunity to tell people here how they’ve been part of the success of Marks & Spencer. Our continued development brings the Marks & Spencer philosophy of service and quality to more and more customers.”
Marks & Spencer Foyleside is one of three stores in Northern Ireland to receive a ‘renewal programme’ this year.
