Thieves Target Lone Pensioners
Two elderly women have had their houses burgled in Armagh in what police believe are related incidents.
A pensioner in Mullanstown Park was robbed at about 8.20am yesterday soon after a woman called at the door claiming to be a home help.
The pensioner told the woman to leave, but she arrived back a short time later and distracted the pensioner while a man went into the house and took money.
Soon after that, an elderly woman was robbed at her house in Ashleigh Park.
This time a man and woman gained access to her house and spoke to the pensioner before lifting a handbag and leaving.
Police believe the incidents may be linked and are investigating.
