Court Appearance On M2 Murder Attempt Charge

An alleged breach of a non-molestation order and an assault has led to a 25-year-old man also being charged with attempted murder following an incident on the M2 motorway outside Belfast.

The man is also facing charges of false imprisonment when he appears at Laganside Magistrate's Court.

A woman in her mid-20s was treated in hospital after the collision, on the citybound side of the M2 near Greencastle on Monday afternoon.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M2 motorway outside Belfast on Sunday, 22 July. A man has died following the five-vehicle collision, which occurred on the M2 near Duncrue just before 4pm yesterday.

Man Dies Following Incident On The M2
A man has died following an incident at the Hightown Bridge on the M2 near Belfast. Police were forced to close the motorway in both directions this morning. Police also urged drivers caught up in the delays to continue to have patience, as officers worked to get the traffic flowing again. The road and Hightown Bridge have now been re-opened.

Tragedy as man found lying injured on M2 dies
A man found lying seriously injured on the M2 motorway in Belfast has died. The man was 45-year-old Edward Gibson from the Antrim Road area in Belfast. He was found at midnight on Wednesday January 2 lying on the city bound carriageway of the M2 under Hightown Bridge in Glengormley on the outskirts of Belfast.

Man Dies In Motorway Collision
A man has been killed in a collision on the M2 motorway on Sunday. A woman was also injured in the crash and is in a critical condition in hospital. The incident occurred at the Dunsilly roundabout at approximately 5.45pm. The man who died was the driver of a dark grey Vauxhall VX220 sports car.

Pair charged over drug seizure
Two men have been charged with drugs offences after drugs worth an estimated £300,000 were seized by police. The drugs were found in a car stopped on the M2 on Saturday. One man, aged 56, and another, aged 24, have been charged with posession of a class A drug and posession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
