NI Supporters Confident Of Triumph Tonight
At least 4,000 Northern Ireland fans have travelled via both Belfast and Dublin – as well as via London and other GB airports - to Gran Canaria to join in the excitement as Northern Ireland meets Spain in tonight's make-or-break Euro qualifier.
As well as these scheduled and specially chartered flights for the IFA - which has issued 4,000 tickets - others have flown out just to travel over to enjoy the atmosphere.
The invasion of the Canary Islands by Northern Ireland is therefore well advanced, with many expecting another victory over Spain to rival another 'unforgettable' night during the 1982 World Cup.
There is a firm belief among fans that Northern Ireland can pull off the impossible once again.
However, Latvia also has to win a big 'giant-killing' game if Northern Ireland is to qualify – so it's not just enough for the 'green-and-white army' to win their match.
However, while Northern Ireland players and fans will be praying Latvia beat Sweden tonight as well, they can take heart that the Latvians fully expect to do the business in Stockholm.
