Payday Conference offers pocket guide to payrolls
Payday brings a smile to everyone’s lips – except those who undertake the complicated process of calculating taxes, benefits and pensions.
Now in its fifth year, the Payday Conference organised by Belfast-based CJS Payroll Management Consultancy, aims to guide all those in business through the payroll maze, simplifying the procedures, updating legislation requirements and providing a forum for sharing concerns and advice.
Local current affairs journalist, Mark Carruthers, will chair the Payday 2002 Conference and exhibition at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast on Tuesday November 5. The conference has attracted a panel of top speakers, each an expert in their particular field. Covering a variety of payroll related topics including employment law, paternity benefits and electronic data interchange, the speakers will provide in insight into procedures which will make your business run more efficiently under your control.
One of the highlights will be a presentation from two of the UK’s leading experts on an issue that is becoming all too common in business - stress management. The impact of stress management and resulting absenteeism can be a complicated area for employers but the conference's organisers say that, with the help of Dr Tansy Arthur and Gordon Tinline, delegates can address the situation with renewed confidence.
The Payday exhibition, which is running in conjunction with the conference, will showcase the latest products and services aimed at ensuring the smooth running of the payroll operation.
Director of CJS, Oral Shields, said: “We aim to take the complexity out of payroll providing practical advice and guidance for employers and payroll professionals in a one-stop shop. No sooner has the Payday conference finished than we have enquiries on when the next event will be held - we have been delighted with the response we have received since introducing Payday five years ago and we look forward to welcoming old and new faces to the Ramada this year.”
