'Unprecedented Demand' For The Arc Apartments At Titanic Quarter
There has been high demand for the first residential development at Titanic Quarter.
To date over 350 apartments at The Arc have been sold, confirming the appeal of living in what is Europe’s largest waterfront development.
Given the level of interest in Titanic Quarter, both locally and internationally, the developers used an online appointment booking system to manage demand.
Appointments were released online on a first come first served basis with prospective buyers then being invited to the marketing suite at Titanic Quarter's new offices in the recently refurbished former Harland & Wolff headquarters building.
Mike Smith, Chief Executive of Titanic Quarter said: "The level of interest in the apartments has been phenomenal, with over 4,500 expressions of interest noted and over 5,000 hits recorded on the dedicated Arc website on the day it went live. Using the web tracking system we were able to see interest in the apartments from people in the rest of the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the USA and as far away as Australia."
The Arc is part of a mixed development which will include restaurants, cafes, public spaces, hotels, leisure facilities and commercial developments.
Arc prices range from £195,000 for the one-bedroom apartments to over £850,000 for the penthouses. The views from the apartments are over Titanic Quarter, Abercorn Basin, Holywood Hills and are complemented by contemporary landscape gardens.
Thomas O'Doherty, Associate at Eric Cairns Partnership, added: "Demand for The Arc has been exceptional and we’re delighted that we have sold over 350 apartments in such a short period of time. This emphasizes the demand for both city centre living and living in a waterfront development. Many of the apartments were purchased by owner-occupiers who want to enjoy the enormous benefits of living in the vibrant Titanic Quarter.
"There's a great deal of confidence in Belfast. Titanic Quarter represents a new way of urban living and the new face of Northern Ireland. People are keen to make sure that they're part of that from the beginning."
At 185-acres Titanic Quarter’s scale is unprecedented in Northern Ireland and the entire development has been valued at £1.5 billion. Upon completion it’s anticipated that over 20,000 people will live and work in the area.

Lifeline Thrown To Sinking Titanic
It would be a real disaster if the Titanic were to 'sink again'. That's the reason Belfast City Council is set to investing £10m of ratepayers' money to co-fund a Titanic tourist attraction. The aim is to ensure the £90m Titanic Signature Project will be built by 2012 - after it struggled to secure the final funding needed.
