Dublin Jobs Boost

A leading US-based computer software company has announced plans to create 40 new jobs at its Irish headquarters in Dublin.

In an expansion supported by the IDA, Novell - which already employs 125 people at the Sandyford facility - has decided on the move because it was able to recruit staff with the necessary language and other skills in Dublin.

Bausch + Lomb Create 125 New Jobs
Bausch + Lomb has announced the opening of a new €85 million extension at the their Waterford facility, with the creation of 125 new jobs. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, the parent company of Bausch + Lomb, has invested more than €200 million in the Waterford facility's operations, infrastructure and manufacturing line growth.

125 New Jobs Announced With Bausch + Lomb Expansion
125 jobs are to be created in Waterford as part a €75m expansion by Bausch + Lomb. The expansion plan was the result of negotiations last year, when Bausch + Lomb's parent company, Valiant, announced that there would be 200 redundancies and a 20% cut in pay at the factory.

80 New Jobs To Be Created At Dublin Airport
Eighty new jobs are being created at Dublin Airport with the opening of a new restaurant. Marqette, a new food and beverage area will open at the end of August in Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport. Recruitment for the new positions is currently underway.
