Road works seminar aims to address safety issues
Greenmount College in Antrim is to be the venue for an upcoming seminar on road safety issues.
The seminar will address a number of key road safety issues facing designers, planning supervisors and contractors involved in road works projects.
The event is being organised by the Roads Service, the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) and the Association of Planning Supervisors (APS).
Among the many topics that will be discussed at the free seminar will be design issues, site risks, traffic management, and many other aspects of health and safety legislation.
The seminar will take place on 20 November 2002 from 2.30pm - 5.30pm, with a limited number of places available. For further information, call Peter Smyth on 028 9054 6879.

Infrastructure Minister, John O'Dowd, has welcomed the NI Executive's approval of the Department for Infrastructure's (DfI) new Road Safety Strategy. The Strategy outlines ambitious targets for improving road safety by 2030 and the Department will work with partners to develop an action plan aimed at achieving these goals.
