UVF linked to weapons find in north Down
Eight men have been arrested following an arms find by police in north Down last night.
At around 9pm, police swooped on a house on Ballymiscaw Road, Craigantlet, after officers noticed a vehicle being driven suspiciously in the area. A number of firearms were recovered in the follow up operation and security forces have linked the find to the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force.
It is understood that some of the men are being held in Lisburn and at Strandtown police station in Belfast.

A man has been arrested after £140,000 of cannabis was discovered in a car by police in Belfast. The seizure was made in the Ainsworth area on Monday, 27 March. The 37-year-old suspect has been arrested on suspicion of the importation and possession of cannabis.

Eight People Detained After Cannabis Find
Police have arrested eight people after a cannabis find in a factory in County Down, close to Castlewellan. An estimated £350,000 worth of drugs was discovered on Tuesday. Two BMW's and a Mercedes were also taken. Five of the eight arrested are still being arrested.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Two Arrested After 'Suspicious Activity'
Two men have been arrested by police following reports of suspicious activity in the North Circular Road area of Belfast. Police attended the scene and arrested two males on suspicion of burglary and possession of class A and B drugs. No further information is available.
