Irish Company Leads The Field In Mobile Technology
A little known company based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, VisionID has been operating out of its Carrigeen Business Park offices for nearly eight years.
The company tend to work behind the scenes with some of the world's leading companies, many of them Fortune500 listed.
All this is about to change though as VisionID are quickly becoming the leaders in mobile technology, and mobility in general.
You might assume that mobile technology refers to that shiny communication devise in your pocket, in VisionID’s case it does not for they specialise in a more sophisticated arena of mobility, one which ensures government organisations, hospitals, retail outlets and big business cannot survive without. That little hand held device that a courier company uses for accepting signatures, scanning equipment at supermarket tills and palm top computers with hand held printers that traffic wardens use, are more often than not developed and supplied by VisionID.
“We have been aware for some time that mobility is becoming the buzz word in the construction and heavy engineering industry,” said Victor Donnelly, Marketing Manager VisionID. “Instead of waiting for the industry to adapt we decided to take the lead and source this technology direct.”
VisionID partner network include device manufacturers, software systems integrators, and consultants. “Together, we build and deliver the most comprehensive mobile computing solutions available today,” said Donnelly. “The combination of individual strength and collective experience translates into vision, advancement, and overall value for our customers”. “Through strategic alliances and partnerships, VisionID greatly enhances its ability to deliver complete mobile solutions to its customers”.
From humble beginnings VisionID has expanded its business to generate multi-million euro growth over a very short period.
The future remains bright for this star of Clonmel with a new office already established in Lodz, Poland and a new regional office being established in Dublin in early 2008. “Clonmel is where our headquarters will be based,” said Donnelly, “we have access to our markets through good road networks and we are fortunate to be located in an area that allows access to talented personnel in the IT, engineering, sales and administrative fields through our alliance with Tipp IT, UL, WIT and UCC.”
Copper fastening VisionID’s plans for the future, they have recently acquired land close to their existing Carrigeen offices that will house a new purpose built, state of the art office complex that will become home to their employees whose numbers are expanding in tandem with the companies growth, long may it last.
