Ulster Beef Showcases At German Mega-Expo

Northern Ireland beef and lamb is being promoted this week in Cologne during the world's largest food and drink fair, Anuga.

The Livestock & Meat Commission is hosting the Northern Ireland meat processing industry's presence, hoping to benefit from being at the first Anuga show without the constraints of a beef export ban in more than 10 years.

Southern Irish companies are also taking part to promote the export of Irish products along with 15 food businesses.

The show is gigantic with 6,607 exhibitors from 95 countries who will present their products and services in an exhibition space of 304,000 square metres. Almost 160,000 visitors from 156 countries attended Anuga's last session.
