Limavady 'Arson' Attacks Injure Two

Police are probing a possible link between two separate fires in rural Limavady at the weekend.

One of the suspected arson attacks left a local man suffered burns to his back and legs after his shed caught fire and he tried to save his motorcycle from the flames.

However the blaze developed quickly, spreading to two houses causing substantial damage and leaving the victim needing hospital treatment.

The separate suspected arson attack again starting in a shed before spreading to a garage and the roof of a house.

In that instance, a 76-year-old woman was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

A police spokesman said: "We are investigating the possibility that both incidents may be linked and are treating them as suspicious."
