Two Men Beaten With Baseball Bats

Two men were injured in Belfast on Tuesday evening in a paramilitary-style attack.

A police spokesperson said that three men wearing balaclavas attacked the two men with baseball bats in Ainsworth Street area in the north of the city on Tuesday at around 7.30pm.

The injured men, both aged 21, are being treated in hosptal for their injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

Man Arrested Following Police Dash
A man has been arrested following a crash between a van and a police car on the Grosvenor Road in Belfast at around 4.15am. The police were chasing a van after two men were seen leaving the scene of a burglary in Moira on Tuesday morning. One man was seriously injured and a 36-year-old has been arrested.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Stabbing At Belfast College
Two people have been stabbed in an incident at the Millfield campus of Belfast Metropolitan College. One of the injured men is described as being in a critical condition, according to reports. The second injured man is understood to have been detained by police at the scene of the incident and is being treated as a suspect.

Pensioner injured by burglars
A 93-year-old man has been injured during a robbery of his Co Down home early this morning. The pensioner suffered cuts to his ear and an arm injury when he confronted two men who had climbed through a bedroom window at his Hillsborough home at around 8.45am on Tuesday.
