Lurgan Golf Club Fire Suspected 'Arson'

Lurgan Golf Club has been severely damaged in a fire that police are treating as suspected arson.

The fire was reported at 10.45pm on Monday and caused structural damage to the building that includes a bar and a restaurant.

The area was cordoned off, as the building close to Lurgan Park contained gas cylinders.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact them.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE

The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

Houses In Lurgan Damaged In Fire
Houses in Lurgan, Co Armagh, have been damaged following a fire in the early hours of Friday morning. At around 5am, the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) responded to a report of a fire at Victoria Street in Lurgan.

Call For Vigilance As Cars Damaged In Lurgan
Motorists in Lurgan have been angered by a spate of car vandalism in the Co Armagh town. Police said two vehicles were targeted in the vicinity of Lurgan Tarry late on Sunday night, 19 January, causing significant damage that is expected to cost hundreds of pounds.

Two Teens Die In Co Down Road Crash
Two teenagers have been killed and another is in a critical condition in hospital after a car crashed into a wall in Rostrevor, Co Down. The vehicle left the Kilbroney Road, hit a wall and landed in a field just before midnight on Monday. It also struck the wall of a house and a home heating oil tank caught fire, leaving the house badly damaged.
