Man Attacked With Iron Bars

A gang armed with iron bars has attacked a man in the Moss Side area of Coleraine.

The man in his 60's was attacked after he answered a knock at the door at 8.50pm on Saturday evening.

Beaten about the body and legs, he was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

A motive for the attack has not been established.

Police have appealed for information.

Man Attacked With Iron Bars During Aggravated Burglary
A man has been injured after being attacked with iron bars at his home in County Antrim in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The aggravated burglary occurred in the Ballyvannon Road area in Glenavy shortly after 4am. The victim needed to be treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Attacked With Iron Bars In L'Derry
A man has been beaten with iron bars in a paramilitary style attack in L'Derry. The victim was assaulted at a property on Ballymagowan Avenue just after midnight on Monday. A woman and two children were also in the house at the time. The man sustained injuries to his head and legs and is being treated in hospital.

Armed Masked Gang Attack Man In Larne
A gang of masked men armed with iron bars attacked a man, aged in his 20s, during an aggravated burglary in Larne, Co Antrim. The assault happened at a house in the Sallagh Park area at around 1am on Thursday, 17 November. The gang left the house through the front door, however it is unclear if they made off on foot or in a vehicle.

Pair Attacked With Iron Bars In Co Antrim
Two men have been taken to hospital after they were assaulted in Newtownabbey, County Antrim. The incident happened in the Ballyfore Walk area at around 10.15pm last night, Wednesday 24 July. Detectives said the two victims, aged 33 and 59, were targeted by three males who were possibly armed with iron bars.
