Two horses die in motorway crash

Two horses have been killed in an accident on the M2 motorway in County Antrim.

The animals were killed after breaking free from their paddock close to the Rathbeg roundabout at the Antrim Slip Road. One of the horses collided with a car, while the second was trapped underneath another vehicle.

At least one person had to be taken to hospital following the accident on Wednesday evening.

Two People Killed In Offaly Plane Crash Named
Two people killed in a plane crash in Co Offaly have been named as pilot Niall Bowditch and seven year old Kacper Kacprzak. Mr Bowditch was believed to be in his 40s, and from Staffordshire, England. It is thought Kacper was the son of a Polish national living in Dublin. The plane took off from Clonbullogue Airfield on Sunday, 13 May.

81-Year-Old Woman Killed In Road Accident
An 81-year-old woman has died after a road accident in County Antrim. The car she was driving was in collision with a lorry on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road between Antrim and Ballymena at 3.30pm on Wednesday. The road, which was closed for a time following the incident, has since reopened.

Brothers killed in road crash tragedy
Two brothers have been killed in a road traffic accident in Co Antrim on Sunday. The accident, involving two motorcycles and a car, happened on the Antrim Coast Road between Carnlough and Waterfoot shortly before lunchtime.

Motorcyclist Killed In Antrim Crash
A motorcyclist has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Ballycarry, Co Antrim. The accident occurred between a bike and a lorry on the A2 Larne Road at about 12:15 on Tuesday afternoon. A rapid response vehicle came across the scene and alerted emergency services.

Teenager Killed In L'Derry Crash
A teenage girl has died in a car accident in L'Derry. The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 5pm on Sunday. The 13-year-old is believed to have been from County Donegal. The road has been re-opened.
