Elderly Man Robbed In Armagh

Police are investigating the robbery of an elderly man in Co Armagh yesterday.

The incident took place shortly before 1pm in the Dobbin Street area of the town.

A PSNI spokesperson said the 72-year-old man was approached by a woman and a teenage girl who distracted him and stole a substantial amount of money from his pocket.

The two females then got into a waiting red-coloured, left-hand drive car. Police believe the car was headed towards Portadown.

The woman is described as being in her 50s with dark hair, and the teenage girl between 12 and 15 years old.

Police believe that both are possibly of foreign nationality.

Anyone with any information are asked to contact Armagh police station on 0845 600 8000.
