Sinn Fein Members Sent Bullets

Bullets and a note threatening three members of Sinn Fein were attached to a brick thrown the window of the party's office in Lisnaskea, police have confirmed.

The attack took place around 1:30pm on Thursday. It is believed that the note claims to be from the Loyalist group, the Red Hand Defenders.

The office was also badly damaged in a fire earlier this month.

Sinn Féin Fermanagh councillor Thomas O'Reilly said that the attack was "obviously very worrying" and appealed for help from unionist representatives and religious leaders for help in ending the attacks.

He said: "There is a clear responsibility on local politicians, community and church leaders to use their influence within the unionist/loyalist community to come out against all sectarian threats or attacks."

Police confirmed that they are examining the contents of the envelope attacked to the brick and appealed for anyone with any information to contact them.
