Councillor Expected To Resign From DUP
Another councillor is expected to leave the DUP in protest over the party going into government with Sinn Fein.
According to reports, Antrim councillor Mel Lucas is expected to announce that he is leaving the party at a council meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Mr Lucas was suspended from the DUP at the weekend over comments made attacking the party's decision to enter government with republicans.
He had also called on the Rev William McCrea, the DUP MP for South Antrim, to resign.

Two DUP Representatives Forced To Leave Public Meeting
Two DUP representatives were forced to leave a public meeting on Tuesday, 26 September, after being "intimidated and heckled", according to DUP leader Arlene Foster. Gary Middleton MLA and Councillor Hilary McClintock had to be escorted out of the Western Trust meeting which was being held at the Verbal Arts Centre in L'Derry.
