Two injured in paramilitary-style attacks
Two men are recovering in hospital after separate paramilitary-style attacks on the outskirts of Belfast last night.
At around 8pm, a 19-year-old man was shot in both legs in Dundonald, Co Down. The attack occurred at Dornock Park and the man was taken to hospital a short time later.
Elsewhere, a man in his twenties was taken to hospital with injuries to his upper arms after he was attacked in north Belfast.
The man was crossing waste ground to the rear of Ballyronan Park in Newtownabbey at around 8.30pm when he was assaulted by a number of men armed with nail-studded bats.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact detectives.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Man Shot In North Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident in north Belfast. Police have reported that a 20-year-old man was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting at about 01:00 on Monday morning at Havana Walk in Ardoyne. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. An investigation into the shooting is underway.

Man Charged Over Stabbing
A 23-year-old man has been charged by police over a stabbing incident in Belfast at the weekend. He has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and having an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

PSNI Attacked After Man Shot In Markets
A police officer has been hurt after coming under attack as part of a probe into the shooting of a man in the Markets area of Belfast. However, the officer only received minor injuries which are not thought to be life threatening and did not require hospital treatment.
