Forensic Tests Carried Out On Castleknock Device
Forensic tests are to be carried out today on a suspect device that was found on Summerton Road in Castleknock, west Dublin, last night.
The homemade lunch-box bomb was discovered behind a wall at around 7 pm and an army team was called in to remove the device just after 9 pm.
The area was cordoned off and Forensic experts will examine the device today.
Gardai believe it was left for collection to be used elsewhere.

West Belfast security alert ends
A security alert in west Belfast has ended. Police have described the device, which was discovered in the Grosvenor Road area of the city as “viable.” A number of items have since been taken from the scene for forensic examination.

Controlled explosion carried out on device
Army Technical Officers carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious device in Belfast Harbour Estate this morning. The device, which was discovered on the Tillysburn Road, was later declared a hoax. Several items have been taken away for forensic examination.

Explosive Device Found In West Belfast
An explosive device found during a security alert in west Belfast was "designed to kill or seriously injure police officers", according to the PSNI. The alert, which has now ended, was on the Brians Well road area in Poleglass on Saturday, 14 January.

A viable device found during a security alert in north Belfast is believed to be linked to a hate crime. Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene at Atlantic Avenue on Thursday, 25 August. A number of residents were evacuated from their homes, however they have since returned.

Viable Device Found In Newry Had Detonated
A device found in Newry on Thursday had exploded, according to police. The device was discovered on the Barracric Road and a railway line between Newry and Dundalk was forced to close. It has since been re-opened. No damage was caused and there were no reports of any injuries. The device has been taken away by the police for further examination.
