Priest Attacked During County Down Burglary
A priest has been assaulted during a burglary at a parochial house in Crossgar, County Down.
The man was asleep upstairs in the house before being awoken by an intruder at the house on the Drumnaconagher Road at around 2.00pm on Saturday afternoon.
The clergyman, who is said to be retired, was confronted by a man outside his bedroom door before being pushed to the ground and sustaining a cut to his head.
The intruder then ran off in the company of at least one other person and it was later discovered that a number of rooms were ransacked and a sum of cash stolen.

Teen Arrested Over Bomb In Brompton Park Area
Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a "substantial bomb" in north Belfast on Friday 1 May. The device was discovered in the Brompton Park area after a local priest alerted the police. The suspect was arrested following searches on Thursday morning. He is being detained at Antrim police station.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
