Man Attacked In Belfast City Centre

A man has been attacked by two men in Belfast city centre in the early hours of Monday morning.

A police spokesperson said that the victim was walking along Lower Garfield Street at around 4.00am on Monday morning when the two men assaulted him.

The man's condition was not immediately known but it was not thought to be life threatening.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who can help track down the people responsible to contact them at Musgrave Street or use the crimestoppers number.

Man Shot In North Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident in north Belfast. Police have reported that a 20-year-old man was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting at about 01:00 on Monday morning at Havana Walk in Ardoyne. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. An investigation into the shooting is underway.
