Man savagely beaten during robbery
A man has been beaten during a robbery at his home in Co Londonderry.
Police described the incident as "horrendous" after two men forced their way into the man's Garvagh home after demanding money at the door.
The two men, who were masked, then beat the man repeatedly leaving him with a fractured skull, broken ribs and a broken leg as well as other minor injuries.
The victim is said to be in an "ill but comfortable" condition in hospital.
The police said a substantial sum of money was taken during the robbery on Wednesday.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
