Man Appears At Court On City Rape Charge
A 23-year-old foreign national has appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with raping and assaulting a woman in the city.
Ryan Subryan, originally from Guyana, South America but currently resident at Dunmurry Lane, south Belfast, is charged with raping and assaulting a woman on June 30.

It is understood that the charges relate to an alleged attack in the Short Strand area of Belfast. Mr Subryan did not speak, but nodded to indicate that he understood the charges.
A detective told the court that she believed she could connect Mr Subryan to both incidents.
