Southbound Westlink closes for weekend repairs
The Roads Service has announced that the southbound carriageway of the A12 Westlink from York Street to Grosvenor Road roundabout will be closed this weekend.
A spokesperson for the Roads Service said the carriageway would be closed from 8.00pm on Saturday, November 23, to allow the Roads Service to carry out essential road maintenance. The carriageway is due to reopen at 6.00am on Monday, November 25.
The M3 will remain open at all times and traffic for the City Airport, Bangor and North Down will be unaffected.
The A12 Westlink southbound on-slip roads at Clifton Street and Divis Street will be closed and there will be signposted diversions in place.
Southbound motorists travelling on the M2 are advised to leave at Duncrue Street turnoff (Junction 1B) and follow the route through Corporation Street, Oxford Street, May Street on to the Grosvenor Road.
On the M3/Sydenham Bypass motorists are advised to leave the M3 at the Nelson Street (Junction 1A) and with traffic from the city centre follow diversions through Great George Street, North Queen Street, Millfield and College Square North on to the Grosvenor Road.

Local roads get record £80m spend
A record £80 million will be spent on structural roads maintenance this year across Northern Ireland. The figure was revealed by Deputy Divisional Roads Manager, Tom McCourt as he presented DRD Roads Service’s autumn report to Newtownabbey Borough Council. Mr McCourt said: "This is a huge increase in investment over previous years.

Van Alert Closes Roads In Keady
A security alert is under way outside a police station in Keady, Co Armagh. The alert began on Friday morning after a suspicious vehicle was abandoned in Davis Street, close to the station. Earlier today, SDLP Mayor of Armagh Thomas O'Hanlon said the van has been abandoned in the middle of the road outside the police station.
