Miss NI quits Nigeria after riot deaths
Northern Ireland's Miss World representative has arrived back in the UK, along with the rest the competitors, after scores of people were killed in rioting close to the venue in Nigeria.
Miss Williamson returned with the other contestants after originally saying she was quitting the competition because of the trouble. However, her mother confirmed she would now be remaining with the entourage in London until the event is completed.
Latest figures released by the Nigerian Red Cross on Sunday put the number of dead from the four days of unrest in the northern city of Kaduna at 215 - more than double the previous official estimate.
Nigeria won the right to stage the pageant after Nigerian Agbani Darego was crowned Miss World 2001 - the first black African to win the title.
The competition is scheduled to go ahead in London on December 7.

'Missing' Tyrone Woman On Peru Drug Charges
A video has been released of two women currently accused of smuggling over £1.5m of cocaine in Peru. The country's police force has released footage recorded shortly after 20-year-old Michaella McCollum Connolly, from Dungannon in County Tyrone, and 19-year-old Melissa Reid, from Lenzi near Glasgow, were arrested in Lima.

Miss Ulster Competition No Longer To Be Held At Stormont
Two assembly members have withdrawn their support for the upcoming Miss Ulster competition, which had been due to take place at Stormont on Saturday. The MLA's had initially supported the staging of the beauty pageant but subsequently withdrew their support in a disagreement over rules about competitors age and size.

Jordanstown To Host Paralympic Event
An event for the 2012 Paralympic Games is to be held in Northern Ireland. The Boccia World Cup will take place at the University of Ulster's campus in Jordanstown in August. Boccia is a target ball sport and is a Paralympic sport for athletes with severe disabilities affecting motor skills.
