Woman attacked by cyclist in east Belfast

Police are seeking information following the indecent assault of a woman in east Belfast on Tuesday morning.

A man passing on a mountain bike attacked the woman who was out walking with her two young children at Comber Green Way, just off Sandown Road, at 11.00am on Tuesday.

The man indecently grabbed the woman twice resulting in bruises to her arm and chest and before taking off he signalled indecent gestures towards her and slapped her face.

The attacker is described as being in his late 40s to early 50s with short grey spiky hair, swarthy skin and wearing a dark top and blue jeans.

Pensioner attacked during burglary of her home
A 90-year-old woman was assaulted during a burglary of her home in Ballygowan, Co Down last night. The woman was confronted by a teenager after hearing noise in her kitchen. The youth then assaulted the elderly woman before escaping into an alley at the back of the house. Police believe an accomplice then joined the assailant.
