Police re-issue murder appeal

Detectives have re-issued an appeal for information about the murder of Antrim man, Martin Morgan.

The 41-year-old was murdered in his home in Firmount Drive, in Antrim's Greystone estate, last Saturday.

Morgan had served a jail sentence for drug offences but his mother said he had "moved on" from his previous lifestyle and was prepared to return to work as a lorry driver.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Nicholl said: "We are keen to find out more about Mr Morgan's movements on Friday night/Saturday morning and would urge anyone who was in his company at any sage between 7pm on Friday and the early hours of Saturday morning to contact us."

The police would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the victims white Toyota Corolla, registration number JBZ 8258, in Antrim town or in the Greystone or Ballycraigy areas.

Arrest Made In Antrim Murder Probe
A man has been arrested in connection with a killing last summer. Martin Joseph Morgan, (41) was shot dead in his home in Firmount Drive in Antrim's Greystone estate last July. A 35-year-old is now being questioned by police in connection with the violent death. Three other men questioned about the murder were subsequently released without charge.

One held in Antrim murder inquiry
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a murder inquiry in Antrim. The body of Joseph Morgan, 41, was found at a house in Firmount Drive, Greystone at 12.40pm on Saturday. Earlier, three men were released following questioning by police in connection with the discovery of a body at a house in Antrim.

Man Found Dead After House Fire
The body of a man has been discovered at a house in Lisburn, County Antrim. The elderly man is thought to have died in a fire at the house on the Dagger Road. His body was found on Saturday morning. PSNI detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of the fire.

Arrest Over Attempted Murder
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night. A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the attack, in which a number of people are believed to have been involved.
