BIC Systems offer 'next generation' mobile computing

BIC Systems and HP have jointly welcomed the launch of the new Tablet PC in Northern Ireland.

The Tablet PC represents an evolutionary stage in mobile computing. Tablet PCs combine the full power of the most modern operating system with the capability to use a digital pen in addition to a keyboard or mouse. The result is a computer that can be used more often, and in more places, than traditional notebook PCs.

John Convery, Sales Director, BIC Systems, said: “The Tablet PC effectively represents a new generation of computing in Northern Ireland. It won’t just change the way that people use computers at work, it will also change the way that people do business, across a whole range of industry sectors”.

Liz Dempsey, PSG marketing manager, HP Ireland, said: "The launch of the Tablet PC marks the next stage of mobile computing and gives users the power to decide on how to interact with their PC. By combining the Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC operating system with the innovative and stylish hardware from HP, the Tablet PC will provide a platform to drive increased efficiency and productivity amongst users."

BIC Systems is a long-standing technology partner of HP and is also a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, the first company in Northern Ireland to achieve this accreditation. BIC Systems uses HP and Microsoft technology to design, build and manage IT solutions.

BIC Systems, founded in 1984, has offices in Belfast and Dublin and currently employs more than 150 people. The company’s core services include enterprise managed services, eBusiness development and consulting, IT training solutions, technology and ERP Consulting, hardware and software product solutions.

A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, BIC Systems was named 'Reseller of the Year' at this year’s Information Communications Industry awards.
