One held in Antrim murder inquiry

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a murder inquiry in Antrim.

The body of Joseph Morgan, 41, was found at a house in Firmount Drive, Greystone at 12.40pm on Saturday.

Earlier, three men were released following questioning by police in connection with the discovery of a body at a house in Antrim.

Police are trying to establish a motive for the killing, but it not thought to be sectarian.

Man Arrested In Connection With Gérard Hoarau Murder
A 77-year-old man has been arrested in Co Antrim in connection with the murder of a Seychelles politician in London. Gérard Hoarau was shot with a Sterling sub-machine gun on his doorstep in Greencourt Avenue in north London on 29 November 1985. Officer's from the Metropolitan Police assisted by the PSNI arrested the suspect on Thursday, 02 August.

Man Arrested In Connection With Kevin Kearney Murder
A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kevin Kearney (46) in north Belfast on 7 October, 2013. Police have reported that the man, arrested on Monday morning, is being questioned at Antrim police station over dissident republican threats made to a number of people in an Ardoyne social club last October.

Man questioned about 1988 murder
A man has been arrested in connection with police inquiries into a murder in 1988. The body of Lily Smyth, 66, was found in her flat at Moveen House in Dunmurry on October 9, 1988. The pensioner had been strangled. A police spokesperson said that a 43-year-old man had been arrested and is being questioned at Antrim Police Station.

County Antrim man remanded on murder charge
A 34-year-old County Antrim man who appeared in Ballymena Magistrate's Court court today has been remanded in custody on a murder charge. Police said that the man, Dale Francis Kelly, 34, of The Roddens in Larne, had pleaded "not guilty" when the charge was put to him.

Police Release Further Details Of 'Vicious' Antrim Murder
Police have released further details about the brutal murder of a man in the rural community of Glenwherry, County Antrim. 52-year-old David Murphy's body was found yesterday, Tuesday 19 February, at his home on Church Road. A friend discovered the victim, who had been shot twice with a shotgun. The post-mortem investigation is not yet complete.
