Armagh woman’s body exhumed

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of an elderly woman who was exhumed from a graveyard in South Armagh.

Katherine Haughey’s body was found two years ago at her home in the Forkhill area in December 2004.

It is understood the PSNI have launched a fresh investigation into her death, which they are now treating as suspicious.

Her remains were taken from the graveyard at St Patrick’s Church in Dromintee yesterday.

A spokesman for the police said no arrests have been made in connection with the death.
