Chinese man extradited over murder charge
A 43-year-old Chinese man has been extradited from Hong Kong to face a murder charge.
Wong Sui Ching is due to appear at Belfast Magistrate’s Court tommorow charged with the murder of 29-year-old part-time waitress Ho Mi Ye.
She had been found strangled at her home in Isoline Street in east Belfast in June 1998.
A 39-year-old man had been acquitted of her murder seven years ago.
A police spokesman said the extradition was a result of a “high level of co-operation” between the PSNI, Hong Kong Police and the Department of Justice during the investigation and subsequent extradition.
