Man injured in paramilitary-style shooting
A man is being treated in hospital after he was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast.
The 23-year-old man was abducted and forced into a car by a gang of four men whilst walking along the Whiterock Road last night.
He was then taken into the Ballymurphy estate where he was shot in both ankles before being dumped in the garden of a house at Dermott Hill Gardens.
The victim was discovered at around 9.40pm and taken to hospital a short time later.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Over Paramilitary-Style Shooting In L'Derry
A man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in Co L'Derry. A 33-year-old man was shot in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area on Tuesday, 08 August. Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.

Teenager injured in shooting
A teenager has been taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his left thigh following a paramilitary-style shooting in Newtownards last night. It is believed that the man was shot in the Westwinds estate shortly before 10pm. There are no further details at present. The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.
