Funeral for dinghy tragedy teenager

A Coleraine teenager, who drowned off the coast of Castlerock, is to be buried today.

Robert McMullan, 15, died when the dinghy he was in with a friend got into difficulties and capsized on Tuesday.

He was airlifted to hospital, but died later.

His friend managed to swim to shore and raised the alarm. A major search operation ensued, but it was nearly two hours before Robert was found.

A private funeral service will be held this afternoon at the family home in Coleraine.
