Police investigate ‘serious crime’ in Armagh
Detectives investigating alleged attempts by dissident republicans to acquire arms and explosives have arrested a man in the Armagh area.
It is understood the arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation into serious crime in the Armagh area which began last summer.
The man was taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim, a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said.
Four people have already been charged with involvement in the alleged attempt by dissidents to procure arms and explosives.

County Armagh man dies following road accident
A County Armagh man has died after he fell from the back of a jeep in County Louth. Stephen Rice, aged 27, from Crossmaglen, died in hospital following the accident which occured at around 10:30am on Sunday at Rassan in County Louth. It is understood that the victim had suffered a serious head injury after he fell from the back of the vehicle.

More Arrests Over Quinn Killing
Three more men have been arrested in connection with the murder of south Armagh man Paul Quinn. The men from the Forkhill and Crossmaglen areas were arrested on Thursday morning. A number of items have also been removed for examination in what police said this afternoon is the second phase of a "targeted operation" in south Armagh.

Two arrested in connection with 'terrorist crime'

The men were arrested in Bellaghy yesterday in connection with an investigation into suspected republican paramilitary criminality in the province. Meanwhile, a man has been arrested in County Armagh in relation to "dissident terrorist crime" in the area.
