Man remanded over PSNI security breach
An internal inquiry has begun investigating allegations that a Police Service of Northern Ireland computer system security was breached.
The inquiry was started after a civilian police administrative assistant appeared in court last week on terror charges.
Aaron Hill, 22, of Mainebank, Randalstown, is accused of obtaining personal data from the police computer system.
The court heard the information had been accessed over a five-year period between May 14 2002 and April 13 2007.
He is also accused of misconduct in public office, possession of information likely to be of use to terrorists and breaching the Data Protection Act.
Hill has been remanded in custody on the terror charges.
