£3.5m boost for specialist schools
Specialist schools in Northern Ireland are set to benefit from £3.5 million from The International Fund for Ireland.
The initiative is part of the fund’s efforts towards reconciliation and integration in schools.
All schools involved in the scheme must be cross-community and have been asked to put forward ideas on how they will promote integration and sharing.
The money for the schemes has been donated by the Atlantic Philanthropies Charitable Foundation, and it is understood that it will be used for practical help and training.
