Grandmother targeted by bombers

A grandmother in the County Tyrone village of Sion Mills has been the target of a bomb attack.

A device described by police as "viable" was defused outside the home of Mary McCrea on Easter Monday. Mrs McCrea, who was a former member of the area's District Policing Partnership, said that she had feared for her family and her grandchildren.

Police have linked the attack to a similar incident in Primrose Hill on Sunday.

Both incidents have been linked to a dissident republican group called "Oglaigh na hEireann" who had claimed the attack on Sunday.

The two devices were made safe by Army bomb disposal experts.
