Man dies in Fermanagh house fire

A man has died following a house fire in County Fermanagh.

The body was discovered in his home at Camphill Park in Newtownbutler just before 4am on Friday morning.

It is believed the fire started in the front room of the house. It took 10 minutes to bring the fire under control the fire and the body of the man was discovered after the smoke had cleared.

Robbie Bryson of Northern Ireland and Rescue Service said the blaze appeared to have started accidentally.

“The fire was well alight when we arrived, with most of the smoke in the living room,” he said. When the smoke had cleared, we discovered the body.”
