Armed gang rob family in Antrim
Police in Antrim are appealing for information following an aggravated robbery in the area on Monday.
An armed gang forced their way into a house in the Cedars area at around 9.30pm on Monday.
The gang, who were armed with a hand-gun and a sawn-off shotgun, locked a woman and her children in a bedroom, while they forced her husband to hand over a number of legally-owned firearms.
None of the family were physically injured, however they were badly shaken.
Police have described one of the assailants as being aged in his 20s, about 5ft 3ins tall, of stocky build with a round face.
He was wearing a hooded top a hat, with jeans and trainers.
A second man was described as being around a similar age, about 5ft 10ins, tall and of skinny build. He was wearing a navy hooded top and a balaclava.
Police are asking for anyone with any information of the incident to contact them at Antrim on 0845 600 8000 or alternatively they can be contacted confidentially at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Two People In Shock Following Armed Robbery In Belfast
Two people have been left in shock after an armed gang forced their way into their him in Belfast. The incident happened in the Meadow Place area shortly before 9pm on Monday, 05 February. One of the suspects was armed with a hammer. They searched the property and made off on foot. A man was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

The attack happened on the Antrim Road in Newtownabbey at around 2.15am on Sunday, 19 November. One of the men sustained injuries to his head and needed staples and the other had to have stitches for a hand injury.

A man has sustained minor injuries after a masked gang broke into a house in Larne, Co Antrim. The men, armed with sledgehammers, forced their way into a property in the Garron Walk area at around 2am on Sunday, 19 February. They caused substantial damage to the house and the male occupant suffered minor injuries.

Crossbow Used In Belfast Robbery
News has just emerged of a bizarre armed robbery in south Belfast. A gang armed with a loaded crossbow targeted a house in the lower Lisburn Road area yesterday. Police said that three men, one of whom was also armed with a hammer, entered the property at Tate's Avenue at about 8.15pm on Monday.
