Two overcome by smoke in flat
Two people have been rescued following a fire in a block of flats in south Belfast late on Sunday night.
Fire fighters called to the scene at around 11pm on Sunday evening found a man and a woman in the first floor flat at Russell Court. The two people overcome by smoke were found in the living room of the flat.
Fire crews, who evacuated around 30 people from the building, dealt with the blaze.

Stranded boys rescued by lifeboat near Millisle
Two boys have been rescued off the Co Down coast after they became stranded on rocks on the Ards Peninsula. The boys, aged 12 and 14, got into trouble on Wednesday off the beach at Millisle but were eventually picked up by a Donaghadee lifeboat at around 10.30pm. The teenagers were stranded on rocks which had been surrounded by the incoming tide.

O2 to reduce cross-border roaming charges
Mobile Phone Company O2 has today announced that it is to abolish roaming charges for mobile phone users living close to the border. This means that from April this year, the 1.6 million O2 customers can travel across the border without being charged more to make or receive calls.

Fire Service Rescue Man From Newtownards Fire
A man was rescued by fire crews from a fire at his County Down home in the early hours of Sunday morning. Fire crews wearing breathing equipment rescued the man from a ground floor flat at Bristol Park in Newtownards and he has since been taken to hospital where he is being treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

Firefighters rescue two people from burning flat
Two people have been rescued from a fire at a flat in Co Antrim early this morning. The blaze at the flat in Tiree Street was discovered just after 2am when the residents became trapped inside. When they rang 999 a Fire Brigade Controller advised them to close the bedroom door and put a duvet along the bottom of it to keep out the smoke.
