Van hijacked in Ardoyne
Police in North Belfast are appealing for witnesses to contact them following a hijacking in Ardoyne Avenue yesterday afternoon at around 2.35pm.
Three men stole approximately £15,000 worth of goods including cigarettes, phone top-up cards and cigarette lighters from a green Vauxhall Movano van.
The driver was pulled out of the vehicle before the men made off in it.
His colleague had been making a delivery at a nearby shop at the time.
The three males have all been described as being medium build. One of the men was 5ft 5ins tall with a round stubbly face and a shaved head. He spoke with a Belfast accent. The other men were describe as between 5ft 10ins, and 5ft 11ins in height.
Police are appealing for anyone who is offered any of these items from a dubious source to contact police immediately at the Antrim Road station in North Belfast, on 0845 600 8000 or contact the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.

Teenager Beaten And Shot In Strabane
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Strabane, County Tyrone. At about 7.20pm on Wednesday night two masked men forced their way into a house in the Springhill Park area of Strabane, where a 19-year-old man was beaten with a baseball bat before being shot in the leg. The victim remains in hospital.

Three Arrested Over Machete Robbery
A man has robbed a cash in transit van with a machette in north Belfast. It happened on the Old Park Road at about lunchtime on Monday. Three men aged 24, 44, and 51 have been arrested. A sum of money has been recovered.

Police Investigate Belfast Armed Robberies
Police are investigating two apparently separate armed robberies in east and west Belfast. The first occurred at a fast food outlet on the Falls Road in west Belfast on the evening of Monday 12 January. Two men, one armed with a knife, entered the premises at around 19:00 and threatened staff.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Police in Castlereagh are appealing for information regarding a robbery in the Newtown Park area at 8.40pm last night. Two men, one armed with what appeared to be a hand-gun and the other with a sledgehammer, entered a convenience store and forced staff to hand over money. The men escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.
