Woman dies following road traffic incident
An 82-year-old woman has died in hospital following a road traffic collision on Monday in County Antrim.
The victim Emma McFarland, from Rathvarna Avenue in Lisburn, was struck by a maroon Land Rover Discovery in Smithfield Square in Lisburn shortly before 2.20pm on Monday.
She died in hospital this morning.
Police are appealing to any witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or contact the confidential Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Man Killed In Randalstown
The death of a man in Randalstown, Co Antrim, is being treated as murder, police have said. The man, said to be in his 60s, died following an "incident" on Caddy Road. A number of vehicles are thought are to have been involved in the incident which occurred shortly after midnight. A woman in her 50s was assaulted.

Firefighter Dies On Duty In Lurgan
A firefighter died suddenly on Monday night while he was on duty in Lurgan. The NI Fire and Rescue Service said the man collapsed at the scene at Deeny Drive in the Kilwilkee Estate shortly after 9.30pm.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.

Police appeal for car accident witness to contact them
Police are appealing for a male cyclist who may have witnessed a road traffic collision in which one person later died to contact them. The victim, aged in his mid-20s, was walking along the Whitewell Road just before 4.30pm on Monday when he was struck by a red VW Vento car. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

NI Man Dies In Monaghan Road Accident
A man from Northern Ireland has died in a car crash in Co Monaghan. The accident happened on the N54 before lunchtime. Garda have reported that a lorry and a van were involved in the collision. The van driver was killed and the lorry driver and his passenger were taken to Cavan General Hospital where they're being treated for shock.
