Police investigate alleged sexual assault
Detectives in south Belfast are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault yesterday evening.
The attack is understood to have happened close to the library at Queen's University, behind the main Lanyon Building.
The area has been cordoned off by police and a number of searches have been carried out.
A spokesperson for Queen's today released a statement saying that the University was aware of the incident and was co-operating with the police investigation.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Renewed appeals for calm as violence erupts in north Belfast
Following another weekend of violence, north Belfast SDLP Assembly Member Alban Maginness has called on the Ulster Defence Association to renew their ceasefire. Disturbances at north Belfast flashpoints have left 23 police officers injured in an orgy of rioting on the city’s streets.

Man Charged Over Vehicle Hijacking In L'Derry
Police investigating the hijacking of a vehicle in L'Derry have charged a man with a number of offences. The 26-year-old is accused of common assault, driving whilst unfit and using a motor vehicle without insurance, in relation to a hijacking in the city on Monday 04 March. He is due to appear at L'Derry Magistrates Court today, 06 March.
