Police foil attempted kidnapping and robbery
Two men have been arrested following an attempted kidnapping and robbery in north Belfast earlier today.
A quantity of cash was recovered by officers during the operation to foil the kidnap and robbery plot, which was launched by police last night.
No one was injured during the incident.
There are no further details.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Four arrested after police foil robbery
Four men have been arrested during a police operation in south Belfast. The men were detained after detectives foiled a robbery at the Northern Bank at Finaghy this morning. A planned operation was mounted and it is understood officers moved in as cash was about to be transferred from a van.

Police have launched an investigation following an attempted robbery at a food outlet in Co L'Derry. A young man, armed with a knife, entered a pizza shop in the New Row area just after midnight on Monday, 27 June. He muttered something indiscernible to a member of staff before leaving.

Appeal Over Robbery And Attempted Robbery
Detectives in south Belfast have appealed for information following an attempted robbery at a fast food outlet on the Ormeau Road and a robbery on Rugby Avenue. It was reported on 4 December that a man armed with a knife entered the premises at around 22:15 and demanded money.
