Gang rob city off-licence

Detectives investigating an armed robbery at an off licence in south Belfast yesterday evening have appealed for witnesses.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm, when a gang of four males, one of whom was armed with a screwdriver, entered the shop in the Stranmillis Road area of the city and threatened staff.

The gang then made off with a sum of money in a silver coloured Nissan Sunny car, which was later found abandoned on the Westlink.

No one was injured during the incident.

The gang are all said to have been dressed in light coloured hooded tops and trousers.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or anyone who may know the identity of the perpetrators are asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two People In Shock Following Armed Robbery In Belfast
Two people have been left in shock after an armed gang forced their way into their him in Belfast. The incident happened in the Meadow Place area shortly before 9pm on Monday, 05 February. One of the suspects was armed with a hammer. They searched the property and made off on foot. A man was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

Armed gang kidnap Strabane family
An armed gang held a family hostage in their Co Tyrone home and forced a man to hand over the weekend takings from a shop, this morning. Three masked men forced their way into the house in the Ballycolman area in Strabane and confronted the family.

Armed gang steal cash box during robbery
An armed gang has held up a cash delivery van in Londonderry on Thursday. The robbery occurred at the Rathmor centre in Blighs Lane where three men armed with handguns and a shotgun threatened and assaulted a security guard as he returned to his vehicle around 11:10am. The gang then made off with a cash box in a nearby car.

Teenager Attacked In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a masked gang, believed to be armed with a gun, attacked a teenager in north Belfast. The incident happened at a house in the Kinnaird Street area on Saturday night, 04 June. The 19-year-old victim sustained a cut to his neck and bruising. A woman who was in the house at the time was not injured.
