Armed robbery in south Belfast

Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station in the area yesterday evening.

At around 8.30pm, a masked man, wearing a fluorescent yellow coloured jacket with a 'Securitas' logo on the back, black trousers and armed with a handgun, entered the premises in the Tate's Avenue area of the city and threatened a member of staff.

The robber then made off on foot with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

Detectives investigating the incident have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or anyone with any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A masked man armed with a knife demanded a staff member to open the till. However, the employee threw water over him and he made off empty handed.

Police Appeal Following Armed Robbery Of Shop In Newry
An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a shop in Newry on Wednesday, 28 February. At around 9.30pm, a man entered the shop on Canal Street and threatened staff with a knife. The suspect demanded money and is said to have fled the scene with a unknown sum of cash.

Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery at a filling station in Cabragh. At around 10.30pm on Thursday, 18 June, three masked men – one of whom is said to have been armed with a fire arm – approached a female member of staff at the premises on the Ballygawley Road.

Armed robbery in east Belfast
Police in east Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery yesterday evening. The incident happened shortly after 8.30pm last night, when a man armed with a knife, entered a fast food outlet in the Bloomfield Road area of the city, and threatened staff and demanded that they hand over the contents of a till and a safe.
